Guide

Know what the numbers mean.

JSON

The formatter uses the browser JSON parser and two-space indentation. Comments and trailing commas are not valid JSON. Formatting can normalize number representation and discard duplicate property names. JavaScript numbers cannot exactly represent all integers beyond 2^53 − 1. Keep the original when byte-for-byte preservation matters.

Timestamps

Input is in seconds, not milliseconds. UTC output uses the ISO 8601 format. Local output follows the time zone configured in the browser. The current-time button reads the device clock; it is not an independent time synchronization service.

Text

Character counts use Unicode code points, which are different from bytes and sometimes from visible symbols. Words here are whitespace-separated tokens. Line counts treat CRLF as a single line break. Empty text has zero lines.

Processing limits

Very large documents can make a browser slow. The JSON tool accepts up to one million characters. No tool writes input to persistent browser storage or sends it to an application backend.
